P!nk new album

This is my unofficial review of P!nks new album, "Funhouse".

My first impression of the album, was of course the single "So What", which absolutely blew my away. I loved this song from the start. It was a typical "bad-ass" P!ink song. Her music has so much passion and energy put into it, it's hard not to get emotional while listening to it. As for the other songs on the album, I really enjoyed most of them. "Please Don't Leave Me" is a very unusual song for P!nk to sing because it is very slow and does not have very involved vocals. But her voice is so distinctive, I would know it was her anyway. On the other hand, "It's all Your Fault" is a similar song to "You and Your Hand". It has the same rhythm in a sense. "Sober" sort of reminds me of an Alanis Morissette Song. It has electric guitars in it and I can just picture Alanis singing this passionate song. These songs were a lot slower than I expected. I think this album was P!nk's therapy during her break-up and she was getting out all of her feelings. They are all about relationships and are love/hate songs. The lyrics are rather moving, and from this I conclude that P!ink is an emotional, passionate person. I've always loved her and I really do love every song on this album. It is worth buying.

my new obsession

Three words-
We the Living.

I'm in love with their song, "Best Laid Plans". It is very calm music with pianos/drums/ and a little guitar I guess. and soft voices. But not like Imogen Heap. It's a little like Coldplay, but not radical sounds and a different soft voice. Woah, it's harder than I thought to describe sound.

Check it out. You'll regret it if you don't.

Other good songs by We the Living-
"London Rain"
"Half the Girl"

I've recently developed an obsession with this band. I believe they will/can be great.

MILLENNIUM ONE HIT WONDERS..

These songs were hit songs that have been forgotten about.
Millennium One Hit Wonders

"Beverly Hills"- Weezer
This song was played so many times on the radio, everyone just banned it from their iTunes playlists. Listen to it again, I really like it now.

"Sugar, We're Goin Down"- Fall Out Boy
Their most popular song, made when they were in their prime. Now in my eyes they are not as good. When remembering my Fall Out Boy stage I will remember this song.

"The Future Freaks Me Out"- Motion City Soundtrack
What ever happened to this band. They released a new album last year, but I think all of their fans disappeared.

"Don't Know Why"- Norah Jones
Where did Norah Jones disappear to? This song is BEAUTIFUL. When it came out it was not cool to like music like this, but now that I have gotten over that stage.

"Just the Girl"-The Click Five
This was the pop song of 2005-06. They were a one hit wonder band. Just another pop rock band to fail.

"The Reason"- Hoobastank
This song was so inspiring. It was so catchy and always was in my head. Recently, they released a new single that sounds more dark and hard rock. I'm assuming why this is the only song they are well known for.

"Let U Go"- Ashley Parker Angel
The pretty blond boy releases a pop rock song. How original. As to why he didn't make it, I think you get the point. No offense Ashley, I actually liked this song.

"It's Time To Dance"- Panic! at the Disco
Their BEST song ever. This is the song that made me start listening to Panic!. Their album at the time was really good. Then they, of course, changed their style a little. But hey, it happens and they still have a large fan base.

"American Idiot"- Green Day
Where did Green Day sketch off to? They had a number of [painfully overplayed] hits. Toname a few: Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Time of Your Life. They released an awesome album that had most of these songs included and the image was a hand holding a heart. Everybody knew the Green Day symbol, it was like a way of life. Apparently, though, Green Day changed their band name to Foxboro Hot Tubs (no, I'm actually not kidding) and released a new album titled "Stop Drop and Roll!!" Their most successful song being "Mother Mary". Download it--it really is them.

New Releases

"Gives You Hell" single- All American Rejects
Many fans complain that the band changed their style in this single sounding more pop than rock. But it is a good, catchy song. However, I understand where they are coming from. When comparing this song to "Swing Swing" I found it to sound very different.

"Take Back the City" by Snow Patrol
Snow Patrol does it again with this single. Their style is very unique. They are phasing out of their Coldplay like sound and creating their own style.

"Kingdom Underground" (Album)- Matt Duke
For listeners of: Josh Kelley, Jon McLaughlin, Matt Wertz
He has a very calm voice, but nothing really stands out to me about him. But don't get me wrong, I like his music. I personally like the song, "Opposum" has a fun, catchy sound that will be stuck in you're head all day.

Recent Releases

Another new release is Keane's new album titled, Perfect Symmetry
For those of you who don't know who Keane is, they are a mix of Coldplay and electronic music. An old favorite is "Somewhere Only We Know" or "Is it Any Wonder".

Ben Folds' new CD is great, ofcourse. It's called Way To Normal.
I just can't stop listening to "You Don't Know Me" featuring Regina Spektor.

Fall Out Boy released a new single off their upcoming album titled "Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown On a Bad Bet". Yeah, the title is not easy to remember. It sounds no different than the traditional FOB song.

Ingrid Michaelson released her new album titled, Be Ok. My favorite on the album is currently "Giving Up". This is a song that is probably or will be played on Grey's Anatomy at some point in time.

It is strange for me to say, but my current favorite song is ...."LIVE YOUR LIFE" by Rihanna and T.I. This song is so catchy and different. Kudos to T.I for taking a tip from Lil' Wayne and making his rap interesting and new. For those of you who don't know this song it was the song preformed by Rihanna and T.I at the VMAS. It is currently number one on the iTunes top 100.
